Virginia Tech vs. Purdue Basketball Highlights (2018-19)


Virginia Tech vs Purdue: The 16th-ranked Hokies beat the 23rd-ranked Boilermakers 89-83 in the championship game of the Charleston Classic. Purdue ran out to a 12-point lead in the middle of the first half, but Virginia Tech chipped away at it until a Nickeil Alexander-Walker 3-pointer retook the lead for the Hokies with 12:30 to go in the game. Alexander-Walker led Virginia Tech with 25 points and 7 rebounds. The Hokies also got great performances from senior guards Justin Robinson and Ahmed Hill, who both scored 23 points.

  3. Nice hard fought win for Virginia Tech. VT will make some noise this season. But the play and dunk of Carson Edwards can't be overlooked. That kid is solid. He might be my favorite point guard, at this point early in the season. The season is still young though…

  4. GREAT WIN. So proud of how far this team has matured not to get tricked into taking low percentage shots and feeding into the negative emotion of the game. We played how we wanted to play in that second half. A true character-building tournament and tournament win.
